Kim Kruyshaar is the owner of Green Audits into Action, which she set up in 2008, both to offer green auditing consultancy services to small and medium enterprises and to create a knowledge and advice platform for small businesses and private householders wishing to manage their environmental impacts more responsibly. Kim has a first degree in Anthropology and Archaeology (University of Port Elizabeth and University of Stellenbosch) and a Masters in Environmental Management from UCT. In the late 1980’s to mid 90’s she worked for the City of Cape Town in environmental management. After several years overseas she and her family returned to live in the Fish Hoek valley in 2006. With her engineer husband she began adapting their household to optimise water and energy efficiencies, sharing their ‘journey’ via her website. During the drought she worked with her local community of Clovelly to develop a Water Resilience Plan and prepare for Day Zero.
