Gareth Morgan is Director: Resilience at the City of Cape Town, a position he has held since August 2017. In this role he was closely involved in the City’s response to the water crisis. For two years previously he was the City’s Principal Trade and Investment Officer. Between 2004 and 2013 he was a member of Parliament and for the last four of those years was Shadow Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs. He has two degrees from the University of Oxford – a Master of Arts (Politics & Philosophy) and an MPhil (Environmental Change & Management).
