Bio

Bronwyn Nortje is a freelance strategic communications consultant based in Cape Town. Since 2011 she has been a regular contributor to Business Day and until 2014 was an editor on the paper. Previously Bronwyn was for several years a programme manager, researcher and lecturer at UCT’s Centre for Social Science Research. She has Bachelor, Honors and Masters degrees in Sociology, Economics and Public Policy from UCT. In late October 2017 she was asked by Resolve Communications to join a project to assist the Mayor of Cape Town with developing strategic communications around the worsening water crisis. Just over two months of intense work with the City’s executive followed, including the elaboration of the Day Zero communications strategy.
